After four years of waiting, Thierry Jamin and his group are preparing to realize the most decisive of all the expeditions organized by them in twenty years of research. The campaign "Païtiti 2018" probably indeed a turning point in the search for the lost city. Supported by the Matsiguengas of the native community of Timpía, the operation will take place between next June and September. Of course, the official departure date will depend on the financing of the operation and the obtaining of ministerial authorizations issued by the country's authorities.

For a maximum duration of twenty days, this expedition will be realized in several phases:

Initially, Thierry Jamin and the Instituto Inkari team will leave Cusco aboard three 4X4 vehicles, in the direction of the small river port of Ivochote, located in the north of Quillabamba, in the province of La Convención. They take with them all the logistics needed to realize the expedition.

From Ivochote, the team will then board a boat (long pirogue equipped with an 18-meter-long outboard motor) and descend the Rio Urubamba, via the famous "Mainique pongo", to the native community from Timpía.

In Timpía, Thierry Jamin and his group are soon joined by about fifteen Natives matsiguengas, ashaninkas and kuka-Pakuris from the region of Timpía and Megantoni. The team will then be complete.

Then, at the agreed time and date, a MI-17B heavy-lift helicopter, from the DIRAVPOL-PNP, will join Thierry Jamin's team to take him directly to the exploration zone, about 80 kilometers away east of Timpía, in the heart of Megantoni National Sanctuary. The team will be down on site in harness at a secret point, located in the immediate vicinity of the mysterious "square mountain".

Of duration of one and a half month, this expedition will come true in five phases:

At first, a group of Matsiguengas of the Timpía community will make a commitment in the jungle to open the road of the main team one couple of weeks before the official departure of the operation. In coordination with Thierry Jamin and the Inkari institute, this group will have for mission to prepare the ground on more than a third of the way.

On the spot, the Inkari team will carry out for sixteen days the methodical exploration of the "square mountain" and the area of ??the "square lake" and "twin lakes". The archaeological survey will be conducted by Thierry Jamin and his group, accompanied by an archaeologist director of the archaeological project approved by the Ministry of Culture and an archaeologist "supervisor" of the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco (DDC-Cusco). A professional diver, assisted by a mini-guided submarine (ROV), will perform a thorough and complete exploration of the "square lake" and "twin lakes".

At the end of this exploration operation, the entire Inkari team will be recovered by the helicopter, then returned to the community of Timpía. From there, Thierry and his comrades will return to Cusco.

Will Jamin and his friends find Paititi at the top of the "square mountain"? The French explorer is convinced of this. It is not only the Amazonian capital of the Incas, but it is also an entire territory that, until then untouched by any archaeological data, is gradually revealing itself to modern science. A new page of the forgotten history of Peru of South America, will soon come out of the dungeons of Humanity...
